Fort Campbell Coordinates with Air Force in Preparation for Afghanistan

soldiers (audio speaker audio feature)101st Airborne Division soldiers are running full-scale exercises this month in preparation for their next deployments. The drills are as “real” as training gets before taking return fire from the enemy. They’re meant to test young platoon leaders before throwing them into combat. And in preparation for battle in the rural valleys of Afghanistan, the exercise now includes close coordination with the Air Force. WPLN’s Blake Farmer reports.
