Over 6-thousand parents are in danger of losing their driver’s and even their professional licenses for not paying child support.
That’s about half the parents who received a letter this year from the Department of Human Services for owing more than 500 dollars in back child support.
D-H-S spokesperson Michelle Mowery Johnson says license revocation is a last resort tool, and some parents are in danger of losing more than one license. Johnson says the licenses range from fishing and hunting licenses to doctor’s licenses.
