Nashville Public Radio has embraced an exciting new technology, “HD Radio”, which triples the amount of programming we provide our listeners. Because it is digital, to receive these new channels you must purchase an HD Radio or use a computer or internet radio to “stream” the channels.

WPLN programs three HD Radio channels, WPLN-HD1, WPLN-HD2 and WPLN-HD3:

WPLN-HD1 is a digital simulcast of 90.3 WPLN-FM.

WPLN-HD2 is a 24-hour music channel featuring both classical music and acoustic/contemporary music.

Note to our classical listeners: if you are looking for midday classical music Monday through Friday, WPLN-HD2 is your answer. Switching between WPLN-FM 90.3 and WPLN-HD2 enables you to enjoy classical music 24 hours a day.

WPLN-HD3 broadcasts news and information programs from NPR, PRI, The BBC and American Public Media including several programs heard on WPLN-AM such as The Diane Rehm Show, On Point, and Talk of the Nation.
