The Nashville Predators will log on tomorrow or Saturday to vote on their new contract. The 700 plus members of the NHL Players Association must approve these terms before games begin. Predators forward Colin Wilson says the 113-day lockout was frustrating and lonely.
“Going your whole life being on a team and feeling like you are a part of something to suddenly being by your self not having a team to see everyday, it’s a little bit mentally taxing so it’s nice to get back, feel like you have a purpose, feel like you have something to do because I felt like an unemployed bum sitting around home everyday.”
If the players pass the agreement, training camp will begin Sunday, and the 48-game season will start on January 19th. The location of the Predators’ first game remains unknown for now. This season’s schedule will not be released until after the vote.
