Important Information about submissions – please read
“Happenings” features cultural and educational events that take place in our listening area and are considered to be of interest to our listeners. This may include concerts, art exhibits, lectures, workshops, theater, films, readings and more. Fundraisers, auditions and advertising events will not be listed.
All submissions are subject to approval and editing before possible listing on our website. WPLN reserves the right to refuse submissions. Due to the high volume of submissions, not all will be listed. WPLN does not fact-check events submitted to Happenings and is not responsible for relaying inaccurate information submitted. Please e-mail the editor if your listing is incorrect.
A few items that are approved and posted on the website are also broadcast on WPLN-FM weekday mornings at 7:19 and on Saturday and Sunday mornings at 7:34. Single events are mentioned at various times throughout the day and week as space and time permits. Selection of events to be mentioned on the air is subjective and based only on the perceived interest of our listeners. WPLN cannot guarantee that any particular event will be mentioned on-air.
Please submit your event for consideration online using the form below. We accept online submissions at this page only – no faxes, emails to staff, postcards, phone calls, etc. Please keep your event description brief and fill out all of the fields on the form correctly. Incomplete forms will not be accepted.
Events must be submitted one full week prior to the event date to be posted on the website or announced on the air, without exception.
