Anita Bugg, News Director
Anita J. Bugg graduated with a B.A. in journalism from Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky. She’s been with Nashville Public Radio eight years, serving as Morning Edition host, assignment editor and now news director.
She’s an avid sports fan (Go Wildcats!) and expects to play softball until her knees won’t allow it anymore.
For the next several years she’ll be renovating her Victorian home in East Nashville, though she doubts it will ever be listed on the tour of homes.

Jacqueline L. Fellows, Morning Edition Host & News Reporter
A native of Texas, Jacqueline Fellows joined Nashville Public Radio in 2001 as the local host of Morning Edition and reporter.
She got her start in radio at KNTU, a public radio station in Dallas. There, she served as an anchor, reporter, and Public Affairs director for four years. After a two-year stint in health care, she returned to public radio, and vows it’ll be her last career change.
“Everyone wonders about my schedule, and I admit, it’s crazy. But I love my job, so the 3:30 am wake up call is a reasonable sacrifice, as long as I have a strong cup of coffee.”

Nina Cardona, All Things Considered Host & News Reporter
A Middle Tennesseean since the age of two, Nina Cardona grew up in a home whose radio dials seemed to be permanently welded into the “90.3″ position. She credits WPLN’s music programming with triggering an interest in the arts that lead her to earn a Bachelor of Music degree from Converse College. After seven years as one of the station’ s music hosts, Nina became a reporter and local host of All Things Considered in 2004.
When she’s not chasing down stories, Nina can usually be found chasing down her two young children with her husband, Chuck.

Blake Farmer, News Reporter and Producer
Blake grew up in Nashville with a family that required silence at the dinner table…at least on Saturday night while A Prairie Home Companion was on WPLN.
In college, Blake found himself hosting NPR’s Morning Edition and All Things Considered – depending on his class schedule – at Abilene Public Radio, 89.7 KACU. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from Abilene Christian University in 2005 and immediately moved home to Nashville to pursue a freelance career.
Most of that time was spent with WPLN, producing feature stories and filling in as a local host. Blake became a full-time reporter/host on the WPLN news team in June 2007.

Daniel Potter, News Reporter and Producer
Daniel is the latest addition to our news staff. In the summer of 2008 he came on board as an intern from Middle Tennessee State University and proved himself as a thoughtful and thorough journalist. Since graduating in December 2008, Daniel has contributed to WPLN newscasts through his part-time reporting work.
Daniel grew up in Huntsville, Alabama. When he’s not chasing down a story, you can find him cruising downtown Nashville on his bike, scouting out the city’s dining alternatives for vegetarians.
Joe White, State Capitol Correspondent
Joe is the world’s oldest rookie radio reporter – at least he thinks so. A graduate of Tennessee Tech and George Peabody College for Teachers, he worked on three daily newspapers including the Nashville Banner, 1974-84.
He worked on the political newsletter Tennessee Journal for 14 years and ran his own print/on-line newsletter the Nashville Bureau Reporter for nine.
Since 2008 Joe has covered the Tennessee General Assembly’s annual legislative session for WPLN-FM. Every week during the session, he and Jacqueline Fellows have a “Capitol Hill Conversation” to try to offer more depth to the coverage of what the lawmakers are doing.
He was an enlisted man in the U.S. Navy 1963-66. Or, as Joe puts it, “I was a sailor and now I’m a reporter. I’ve never actually worked for a living.”
For the last several years he has taught undergraduate journalism at Middle Tennessee State University as a part-time, adjunct instructor.
