Two area lawmakers are helping their uninsured constituents get access to prescription drugs.
The Partnership for Prescription Assistance is a new program that bills itself as a one-stop shop for the uninsured, uninsurable, and low income to get help buying prescriptions.
The organization hosted an enrollment fair in Clarksville this morning and plans to stop in Madison this afternoon.
Clarksville Democrat, Kim McMillan who was on hand during this morning’s event, says one reason she supports the program is because of its easy enrollment.
“What you do is list the prescriptions you’re on, answer eleven questions, and then they can proceed from there to match you up with the right program that is right for you and even give you the forms you need to fill out and send in. It’s pretty simple.”
This afternoon in Madison, Nashville Democrat Mike Turner is scheduled to be at a senior citizen’s center to help people enroll in the prescription assistance program.
