There are a number of opportunities for people interested in helping out this weekend. The Gallatin Area Chamber of Commerce is organizing a tornado clean-up both tomorrow and Sunday. Volunteers should call the Gallatin chamber at 452-4000. Similar efforts are being organized by Hands On Nashville (615-298-1108, x112).
In Nashville, the Office of Emergency Management is holding a supply drive. Donations of non-perishable food, clothing, hygiene products, cleaning supplies and tools will be accepted from 8am to 6pm tomorrow in the parking lot next to LP Field.
Tennessee Right to Life is collecting baby care supplies for families living in the emergency shelters, particularly disposable diapers and wipes. Those donations can be dropped off at their outreach centers in South and West Nashville throughout the weekend.
