John McCain leads a new poll conducted last night in Tennessee by Southern Political Report. He has 33-percent of the Republican vote to Mike Huckabee’s 25-percent. Huckabee led a poll earlier in the week before McCain’s win in Florida and Rudy Gulianni pulling out. Mitt Romney placed third in both Tennessee polls, with 18-percent most recently. The poll has a 5-percent margin of error.
On the Democratic side, Hillary Clinton seems to have benefited from John Edwards bowing out of the race. She has grown her lead, according to these two polls, to 56-percent to Barack Obama’s 26-percent.
