The greenway atop a levee along the Cumberland River will close for one year. The Army Corps of Engineers is making repairs around the Metro Center levee, which was damaged during last year’s flooding.
The entire three-mile stretch of the greenway trail will be off limits, and Metro Parks Police will issue warnings and citations to repeat offenders.
According to a news release from the Corps of Engineers, the levee repairs will take until June of 2012.
