At the start of 2018, Nashville’s mayor was Megan Barry. Residents imagined a future when the daily commute included a train ride through downtown in an underground tunnel. But that vision did not include e-scooters — they were nowhere to be seen. LifeWay’s cross-adorned tower still stood on Broadway. And the Titans had a slim chance at a playoff run (some things haven’t changed). In short, a lot has happened this year, on the national stage and right here at home.
But at WPLN, we always try to go beyond the breaking news of the day to better understand the forces that shape our community. Before 2018 slips into the history books, take a look back at the year.
