The Princeton Review has released their annual list of lists for colleges and universities, and Vanderbilt is in the top ten of some of the most desirable categories.
The school earned the top spot for ”
happiest students” with survey respondents also placing the school in the top ten for most beautiful campus, best quality of life and best college city.
Vandy also earned high marks for financial aid and athletic facilities,
despite widespread criticism for the school’s aging football stadium.
The annual review surveys 137,000 students from more than 380 schools on a number of questions from academics to social life.
The University of Tennessee-Knoxville did not fare as well. The school is listed in the top five in the “LGBTQ-unfriendly” category. This follows multiple incidents involving LGTBQ students at the school and the
defunding of UT’s diversity office by state Republican lawmakers..
UT Knoxville also ranked in the top ten for poor relations between those of different racial and socioeconomic classes and was in the top 15 for “least happy students.”
