Wedding days can create a whirlwind of memories. Some fade away with time, others endure—like when the groom is accidentally stranded at the altar!
Bob and Irma Paz-Bernstein recently visited the StoryCorps airstream trailer at the Nashville Farmers Market to recount the day they tied the knot. The national storytelling project is recording the life experiences of Middle Tennesseans.
Irma says she started the day by absent-mindedly loaning out her car. So, she had to hitch a ride in her photographer’s pickup. They raced to the wedding, which was being held on the downtown pedestrian bridge.
Bob and Irma’s interview was produced here at WPLN. Visit storycorps.org to find ways to record your own story.
