Jane Baxter says she was always close to her mother, at least in proximity living near by.
But the two never really talked about their lives or shared their feelings. Jane was robbed of the chance to grow closer, when her mom was diagnosed with dementia.
In a StoryCorps interview in Nashville, Jane talked about discovering two recordings of her mother’s voice, which brought her both comfort and insight.
Jane’s story was produced here at WPLN. Visit storycorps.org to find ways to record your own story.
