Ramsey: Push to Cut Red Tape Continues

After a big unveiling this spring, there have been only sparse updates at TNRedTape.com. That’s a website started by Lieutenant Governor Ron Ramsey, and paid for with money from his political action committee. The intent is helping people cut through excessive state regulation, and Ramsey says the seeming lack of activity on the site doesn’t reflect a lack of purpose.

Sumner County Education Association, Schools Headed to Court Again

The Sumner County teacher’s union has again sued the district. It’s the second lawsuit this year. This one claims the school system is violating teacher’s first amendment rights by setting up roadblocks to the union.

Accreditation Officials Visit Fisk

Officials from a regional accreditation group visited Fisk University this week. The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools has warned Fisk officials that the school is as at risk of losing its accreditation.

Anniversary Airport Security to Look Like Any Other Day
