Murfreesboro Speciality Hospital Plans 400-Job Expansion

Listen A Murfreesboro medical facility acquired earlier this year by Franklin-based Acadia Healthcare plans to more than double its size in the next year and a half.  TrustPoint Hospital announced a $57 million expansion on Wednesday, which would add nearly 150 new beds and 400 new jobs to the facility.

Democrats Want A Hearing On Plans To Jack Up Health Insurance Rates In Tennessee

Listen Democratic lawmakers in the Tennessee legislature want a public hearing on plans to increase rates for some government-backed health insurance by as much as 62 percent. They say Insurance Commissioner Julie Mix McPeak hasn’t done enough to show the spike is needed to keep the health insurance market afloat.
