Majority Of Metro Nashville Students Now Take Music Class

Nashville’s public schools are trying to show the payoff for all the money being  funneled into music education. The city has put $14 million into a district-wide music program, at a time when the school system is trying to find money for more math tutors and reading coaches.

Update at 1:45 p.m. Thursday: National Transportation Safety Board spokesman Eric Weiss said the agency had taken over an investigation into the Boeing 737 that crashed into a ditch on Tuesday at Nashville International Airport because of the level of “substantial damage“ to the airplane.

Tennessee Troopers Say It’s Time To Make Drivers Of Heavy-Duty Trucks Buckle Up

Listen The Tennessee Highway Patrol wants to close a little-known loophole in the state’s seatbelt law that exempts drivers and passengers in heavy-duty trucks and SUVs. These are vehicles with a gross weight between 8,500 and 10,000 pounds, including a Ford F-250 Super Duty and some Chevy Surburbans and Lincoln Navigators.
