There’s no set timeline yet for repairing a sinkhole that developed directly beneath the train tracks used by Nashville’s only commuter train.
The hole is just east of downtown near a Metro Water facility and is preventing the Music City Star from reaching downtown. The train is still running between Lebanon and Donelson, although with reduced service and other alterations.
WeGo has canceled the third trip of the morning and the third trip of the afternoon, “until further notice,” and is making other accommodations.
WeGo will adjust two of its shuttles to pick up inbound passengers from Donelson Station in the mornings. That includes the route 64 Star Downtown Shuttle to downtown and the route 93 Star West End Shuttle to Vanderbilt University.
In the afternoons, route 93 buses will make the direct trip from Vanderbilt to Donelson Station. Route 64 passengers, however, should prepare for a transfer — they will be picked up via van and transported to Riverfront Station, where they will switch to a bus for the ride to Donelson Station.
The standard schedule for the Music City Star is online here.
