Nashville-based Acadia Healthcare has bought a behavioral health hospital in Illinois fro 90 million dollars. Company officials say the 122-bed hospital in suburban Chicago already generates 33 million dollars a year in revenue. In a statement, CEO Joey Jacobs says the purchase should help increase Acadia’s earnings by 16 cents per share. The company has already announced plans to expand the hospital’s capacity. With the Illinois purchase, Acadia now does business in 19 states.
