District 34 Metro Councilmember Angie Henderson has won the race for vice mayor of Nashville.
With all precincts reporting, Henderson leads incumbent Vice Mayor Jim Shulman by over 3800 votes, 52% to 47%.
Henderson told This Is Nashville she would take a different approach to the vice mayor position. She wants to help councilmembers pass the legislation they want, even if that means being a check on the mayor. She also plans to create a training program for new councilmembers.
