Tennessee was ordered to dramatically expand access to absentee voting last month to protect people from the coronavirus. But as early voting begins tomorrow, the state says that first-time voters still must verify their identities in person before requesting a mail-in ballot.

Rutherford County Schools Will Offer In-Person Classes Despite Surging Coronavirus Cases

The Rutherford County Board of Education voted unanimously Thursday night for a return to traditional classes beginning in August. The plan also allows parents to choose remote learning for their students, but they must commit to sticking with that option for the full semester.
