On guns and abortion, polling shows Tennesseans at odds with their elected lawmakers

The state legislature continues to lose favor with Tennessee voters.  A 2020 poll by Vanderbilt University showed 60% approval of the Tennessee General Assembly — and the latest polling, out this month, shows that figure has dropped to 46%.

WeGo again mulls transit police after violent incidents on buses

Maury County tornado survivors reflect on deadly storm that struck with little notice

A week removed from the EF-3 tornado, residents in Maury County are continuing to clean up debris. The storm uprooted trees, destroyed homes, and picked up vehicles. But residents are just happy to have each other.

Gov. Bill Lee highlights how he wants to foster better discourse

Utah Gov. Spencer Cox is the chairman of the National Governors Association. Last July, he launched a series called Disagree Better, an initiative to try to figure out how American politics can become less polarized. Cox brought the series to Nashville this week — with Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee joining him on a panel.
