Nashville Zoo Pads Its Primate Collection With Endangered Spider Monkeys

Nashville’s Southern Festival Of Books Faces Funding Threat In White House Budget

  Listen Humanities Tennessee, the nonprofit group that puts on the Southern Festival of Books, says that the annual event is in jeopardy. The budget proposal introduced by the White House last week would eliminate the National Endowment for the Humanities which funds the organization that hosts the festival.

Meharry Students Provide A Day Of Free Dental Care For Nashville’s Underserved Communities

  Listen Even as snow hit Nashville late Friday night, people were already lining up outside Meharry Medical College for a student-organized event set to start Saturday morning. Meharry’s chapter of American Student Dentist Association (ASDA) provided free oral surgeries, cleanings, and fillings for those without dental insurance.
