In 1990, local sculptor Alan LeQuire unveiled Nashville’s own statue of Athena at the Parthenon in Centennial Park. Now, he’s unveiling his latest exhibit which he says honors the women who shaped his life.

Previously, he worked at NewsChannel 5 Nashville as a producer for NewsChannel 5 Plus, and before that worked as a Producer/Editor for WCTE-PBS in Cookeville. In his spare time, he writes/makes movies, cooks spicy dishes thanks to his Indian roots, and loves learning languages. Before entering the media world, he taught high school English in France for two school years - his first year in Avignon, and his second in Strasbourg.
Activists place painted doves around Nashville to commemorate where pedestrians were killed
Nashville noticed a significant rise in pedestrian deaths after lawmakers lifted pandemic restrictions. Currently, the trend seems to be moving in the right direction. But the plan to improve Davidson County’s infrastructure is still underway and safety for those who walk and cycle is not guaranteed.
