Lawmaker Strips Anti-Abortion Bill of Controversial Reporting Requirements

Abortion rights activists feared that an effort to publish the names of doctors who perform abortions could be used to identify individual women who had the procedure. In response, the sponsor of the state legislation cut those parts out.

Haslam’s Constitutional Amendment Advances Amid Criticism

Governor Bill Haslam’s proposal to constitutionally cement the way Tennessee judges are appointed came in for criticism in a House committee today. The bill moved forward on a split vote of 9 to 6.

Authorization of New Wildlife Commission Heads for Senate Floor
