Prosecutor claims that delayed charges against Abrego Garcia were ‘extraordinary’ but justified

A representative of the U.S. Attorney’s office testified in federal court on Thursday that the human smuggling case against Kilmar Abrego Garcia was justified while acknowledging that the charges coming two years after a traffic stop in question was “extraordinary.”

Tennessee appeals court says school shooter’s writings can be made public

Lisette Monroe lost her beloved sister to murder. She hopes an execution will bring some peace

Attorney says electrocardiogram at Tennessee execution was active after inmate was pronounced dead

An attorney for a recently executed Tennessee inmate says an electrocardiogram showed “sustained cardiac activity” nearly two minutes after Byron Black was pronounced dead. Attorneys for the state say requiring members of the execution team to testify risks exposing their identities, even if their faces are hidden and their voices disguised.

Feds charge alleged white supremacist over 2019 arson at Tennessee school that trained Rosa Parks

A suspect whom authorities have linked to white supremacist movements has been arrested in the March 2019 fire that destroyed an office at a storied Tennessee social justice center. Regan Prater was arrested last Thursday and charged with one count of arson.
