Tennessee is refusing to release its new execution manual. Here is why it matters

Judge says Nashville school shooter’s writings can’t be released as victims’ families have copyright

Federal judge sentences 4 anti-abortion activists for a 2021 Tennessee clinic blockade

Transgender Tennesseans want state’s refusal to amend birth certificates declared unconstitutional

The fate of a decades-old Tennessee policy that does not allow transgender people to change the sex designation on their birth certificates is in the hands of a federal appeals court. A group of four transgender women born in Tennessee wants the policy declared unconstitutional. A federal judge dismissed their case last year.

In rural Tennessee, the National Teacher of the Year helps diverse students and their families thrive
