Nashville International Airport is setting records. Passenger traffic surged in May to levels not seen in 20 years. And it was the busiest May the airport has ever had.
Nearly a million people (950,000) traveled through Nashville. The previous record for the month was 900,000 in May of 2007.
The airport’s largest carrier is Southwest Airlines, which has been adding flights to and from Nashville in recent months.
