Tennessee’s legislature isn’t known for championing environmental causes. Take this year – despite beginning the 2009 session just a few weeks after TVA’s massive ash spill that flooded homes and rivers, state lawmakers responded to the disaster with just one bill. WPLN’s Jacqueline Fellows and Joe White discuss why, in the midst of one the worst environmental catastrophes in state history, Tennessee’s environment still didn’t get much attention.
