Listen Now:
Like many grade school parents, Felix Wang’s dad wanted him to play an instrument. Felix wasn’t so sure. But that hesitancy gave way and turned into a successful career playing the cello. Wang has won the National Society of Arts and Letters Cello Competition and recorded for the Naxos label. He’s a founding member of the Blakemore Trio, a member of the Blair String Quartet, and an Assistant Professor of Cello at Vanderbilt University.
As part of our on-going series Playing in the Band Felix Wang talks to WPLN’s Andy Scheinman and gives us a lesson on the Cello.
