A three-story tower rises from a courtyard of the gardens at Nashville’s Cheekwood. It’s covered in yellow neon tubes, arranged in tight, overlapping squiggles. Nearby, in a pond, a long, wooden rowboat overflows with muliticolored glass that glows in the sunlight.
Right now, glass sculptures by renowned artist Dale Chihuly can be found throughout the grounds and inside Cheekwood’s art museum. As WPLN’s Nina Cardona reports, they’re here in an effort to celebrate the Nashville institutions’ 50th anniversary on a huge scale.
