Coach, the high end accessory brand, has filed a federal lawsuit against a Murfreesboro beauty shop it claims is selling fake versions of its branded items.
As its proof that the store is dealing in fakes, the company says it sent an employee to purchase a wallet at Hair In-X-S. According to the suit, the shop charged $15 for its version of an item that would normally cost almost $200. The suit goes on to detail multiple differences in construction that show the wallet wasn’t genuine.
The company is asking for a jury trial and the maximum fine of $2 million for every counterfeit Coach product sold at Hair In-X-S.
