Congressman John Rose on stage during his last campaign for Congress
Republican John Rose will hold his U.S. House seat for Tennessee’s 6th Congressional District.
The Associated Press called the contest at 8:02 p.m., shortly after a wave of Davidson County results. About 150,000 votes have been counted in that contest.
Rose, a conservative farmer and attorney from Cookeville, first took office in 2018 to fill the position vacated by Diane Black.
The district includes a portion of Nashville and wraps around the city to the north, east and southeast.
