Sixty days after the Dobbs decision overturned Roe v. Wade, Tennessee imposed the most draconian ban on abortion in the country. A total ban, with no clear exceptions — not even for rape, incest or to save the life of the patient.
It was a dramatic turnaround for a state that, less than a decade ago, had some of the strongest protections for abortions in the country. Both before and after Dobbs, our reporters sought to help Tennesseans understand just how much has changed.
