The technology support company IQT will not be bringing 900 jobs to Nashville according to an announcement from the Mayor’s office today.
Last month, Metro made a 1.6 million dollar deal to lure IQT to Nashville. However conversations about the deal have now stopped.
IQT laid off more than a thousand workers from three Canadian call centers last week, a move that prompted the Mayor’s office to question the company in a letter.
In a statement released today, the director of the Mayor’s office of economic and community development said that none of the incentive money has been paid to the company.
