Crashes in the past week have killed six motorcyclists in Nashville. Metro police provided new details Tuesday after two more riders who were hospitalized over the weekend died from their injuries.
Motorcycle deaths include:

- Two men age 20 and 26 were fatally injured Friday night in a high-speed chain-reaction crash on Interstate 24. Police say they were splitting lanes and both collided with the same car.
- A Brentwood 15-year-old was traveling at least 40 mph on a sidewalk when he struck a fire hydrant.
- A 36-year-old struck the back of a turning SUV on Gallatin Pike on Sunday afternoon.

Metro police say two pedestrians have died recently, as well. One was a local man who died Thursday night on Haywood Lane in a hit-and-run that remains unsolved. The second — the same day — was a strike that killed a North Carolina man visiting Nashville. He was fatally struck downtown at 4th Avenue South and Korean Veterans Boulevard, leading to charges against a driver who initially fled the scene.
