Drug agents seized more than 1,500 pounds of marijuana this week west of Nashville. Law enforcement officials are calling it the largest bust of its kind in Dickson County.
The confiscated pot was found in a tractor trailer parked at an undisclosed farm.
The raid followed a three year investigation of drugs moving north from Mexico. The street value of the seizure is $1.5 million.
Of the five defendants, two are from White Bluff. Two others are from Burns, Tennessee. Another man is from Chicago. All five are in federal custody and face charges related to a conspiracy to distribute marijuana.
