Former President Donald Trump has once again won the state of Tennessee and its 11 electoral votes in the race for president.
Trump won Tennessee by 64% — an even larger margin than in both 2016 and 2020. The state has consistently supported Republican nominees in the last few decades.
President Bill Clinton was the last Democratic nominee to win over Tennessee, in 1992 and 1996. Tennessean Al Gore was his vice president. Yet when Gore ran for president in 2000, he lost the state and the contest to George W. Bush.
