Parler announced Tuesday in an email that it would relocate its headquarters from Henderson, Nevada to Nashville.
CEO George Farmer wrote that the move coincides with the company’s return to in-person work.
He says he appreciates Tennessee’s weather, “southern hospitality”, music and barbecue.
“Even more than that, though, Tennessee shares Parler’s vision of individual liberty and free expression,” he writes.

Parler is one of many companies choosing to put down roots in Tennessee. The press release points to recent announcements from businesses like Oracle, Ford, and the gun manufacturer Smith & Wesson.
Parler came under fire after the Capitol riots in January for not limiting calls to violence and other illegal activity. It had been banned from Apple and Google’s apps stores earlier this spring.
In the press release, the company says with its new home in Tennessee, it will “continue to be that beacon of free speech.”
