Father, Son Spend Christmas Together in Afghanistan

Hundreds of Fort Campbell soldiers spent Christmas Day in Afghanistan. But a few were still able to share a meal with family. Stephen and Zachary Givens are a father/son pair deployed together with the 101st Combat Aviation Brigade.

The two men from Clarksville are stationed at separate forward operating bases, but a military press release says they were able to spend Christmas together and call home.

PFC Zachary Givens enlisted during his father’s last deployment. 1st Sgt Stephen Givens says six soldiers in his brigade have a family member serving in Afghanistan at the same time.
