A former WPLN contributor from the 1970s is making history by being the first ever public radio host inducted into Tennessee Radio Hall of Fame. Lin Folk will be honored alongside ten other inductees next May.
Folk spent twenty years in the military and was a storyteller in the children’s section at the Nashville Public Library, where staffers thought her voice was so pleasant that she should be on their new public radio station, WPLN-FM.
In
April, Folk turns 100 years old.
