As part of WPLN’s series on the fifth anniversary of the Iraq war, we go to Fort Campbell High School.
Some 120 seniors there are preparing to graduate, but many will end their high school career like it began, with at least one parent at war. Soldiers at Fort Campbell are on their third deployment to Iraq and Afghantistan and have missed the milestones of watching their kids grow up. Dating, basketball games, prom – it’s all been followed from afar.
