When the new Schermerhorn Symphony Center opens with it gala festivities this weekend, Geogre Mabry will be leading the Nashville Symphony Chorus. For years, Mabry taught music at Austin Peay State University. He also directed entertainment for Opryland USA, but he reached his pinnacle in 1998 with the 150-member Symphony Chorus. For our on-going series “Playing In The Band,” Mabry spoke about his methods for blending varied voices together.
