President Obama barely mentioned guns in his State of the Union address. But gun issues will be in the news when the president touches down in Nashville to speak Thursday.
Mr. Obama will address an invitation-only audience at McGavock High School, which is reacting to the killing this week of a 15-year-old student. He was shot in an apartment by an older classmate who says the gun went off by accident.
Meanwhile Governor Bill Haslam just announced gun-maker Beretta will open a huge facility outside Nashville, partly because of Tennessee’s strong support for gun rights.
