He may not be a household name to music fans, but Guy Clark is a household name to songwriters. Along with maybe Townes Van Zandt, Clark is acoustic music’s Velvet Underground. This year, the Texas native is the Country Music Hall of Fame’s artist-in-residence. He says after 30 years of recording, writing and singing songs, his approach to songwriting hasn’t really changed – it’s about connecting to the listener, and letting them fill in the holes. WPLN’s Jacqueline Fellows has this report.
