A Middle Tennessee call center will be among those taking donations during tonight’s network TV telethon raising money in the aftermath of the earthquake in Haiti.
Deloitte Services in Hermitage is part of a national accounting and consulting company.
Spokesman Jerry Barber says over a hundred workers at the Hermitage site will volunteer for tonight’s telethon, which runs from 7 to 9 central.
“We’ll probably stay on about a half an hour beyond that, so about two and a half hours for us. We believe that we’re going to handle upwards of 10 thousand calls here in this center.”
Barber says the company made a similar volunteer effort after Hurricane Katrina.
