Nashville-based Ingram Industries is selling its 50-year-old material business to Pine Bluff Sand and Gravel in Arkansas.
Ingram Materials produces aggregate for the construction industry in and around Middle Tennessee. The company’s distribution facilities are in Nashville, Clarksville and New Johnsonville. Its sand dredging operation is on the Ohio River in Paducah, Kentucky.
Pine Bluff’s Brian McGeorge says in a statement that his company intends to hire all existing Ingram Materials employees and continue operations, just under the name Pine Bluff Materials.
Both companies are family owned so a dollar figure has not been released for the transaction. As part of the deal, Ingram Barge has a long term agreement to tow Pine Bluff’s sand and gravel.
