Election Day has arrived again in Middle Tennessee — this time with primaries for state offices and general elections at the local level.
The top of the ballot features a fierce battle for the governor’s office. Congressman
Diane Black, House Speaker
Beth Harwell, former Economic and Community Development Commissioner
Randy Boyd and businessman
Bill Lee are aiming for the Republican nomination. Former Nashville Mayor
Karl Dean and House Minority Leader
Craig Fitzhugh hope for the Democratic nod.
The primaries for Senate are less heated. But tonight will probably mark the official start of the race between Republican Congressman
Marsha Blackburn and former Democratic Gov.
Phil Bredesen to succeed Sen. Bob Corker, who’s retiring.
Farther down the ballot, there are primaries for Congress and the state legislature. And, depending on where you live, the final vote for your sheriff, county mayor and school board rep.

When can I vote?
Polls open at 7 a.m. in Cheatham, Davidson, Maury, Robertson, Rutherford, Sumner, Williamson and Wilson counties. For other counties, click
here.
Polls close statewide at 7 p.m. Central.
