Nashville-based restaurant chain J. Alexander’s has closed its sale to Fidelity National, a title insurance company out of Florida.
The merger negotiations dragged out for months as two other companies placed competing bids and J. Alexander’s stockholders filed a lawsuit against the board. In the end, everyone agreed to a price of $14.50 a share.
Earlier this year, Fidelity National bought another Nashville restaurant company, O’Charley’s.
