Katherine Ruppelt is a senior producer at WPLN. Katherine first came to public radio as a freelancer for WPLN. Her stories have aired on The World and Here and Now. She worked on WPLN's This Is Nashville as a multimedia producer. A native native of Cleveland, Ohio, Katherine has been a bit of a rolling stone- and now calls Nashville home. As a journalist and producer, she is dedicated to helping others tell their stories. She enjoys profiling individuals and communities, covering the personal impacts of policies, the environment, and rural life, and exploring different takes on how to live well as a human. While she’s always finding stories and writing for fun, she also fills her early mornings with yoga, her evenings with cooking and time with friends, and her free time as a happy (and sendy) intermediate climber, whitewater kayaker, diver, and surfer.
